Professional Experience

Elaine Johnson is a clinical research compliance expert in the health and life sciences practice of B&D Consulting. Her nursing background, combined with extensive experience in conducting clinical trials, gives her unique qualifications for conducting clinical and financial compliance audits. 

A registered nurse, Elaine has greater than 20 years experience in clinical research as a business owner, clinical research monitor and study coordinator. Elaine has extensive experience conducting Phase II — IV clinical trials in the therapeutic areas of oncology, cardiology/vascular diseases, pulmonary/respiratory diseases, anti-viral, anti-infective, breast cancer, lung cancer, hyperlipidemia/stroke, COPD/asthma/allergic rhinitis, influenza and candidemia. She performed source document verification, protocol compliance, regulatory compliance and drug accountability. Elaine also assisted in the identification of qualified investigators, including contacting potential investigators and conducting pre-study site visits.

Elaine began her medical career as a nurse working in hospitals and clinics in the areas of orthopedics, oncology, surgery and internal medicine as a surgical scrub nurse, chemotherapy nurse, charge nurse and supervisor.
