Professional Experience

Ann brings more than a decade of experience working with the non-profit sector on disability issues. Ann’s diverse professional background, knowledge of amateur sports, disability issues, and federal affairs experience strengthen B&D Sagamore’s services to non-profit and public sector clients.

Ann works with sports, disability, and social service organizations and a large municipality and its public transit agency to develop and implement strategic federal affairs programs to help advance client objectives.

Prior to joining B&D Sagamore, Ann developed and directed national partnerships for Very Special Arts (VSA) in Washington, D.C. She also served as venue director and sports planning manager for the Atlanta Paralympic Organizing Committee, the organization responsible for staging the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games. After graduate school, Ann managed an integrated after school recreation program. She subsequently joined the staff of the nationally recognized Shepherd (rehabilitation) Center as the sports and fitness specialist.

While pursuing post-secondary degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ann established herself as a world class athlete in the sport of track and field. She represented the United States on three Paralympic Teams and the 1988 Olympic Team. Ann continues to be active in the international sports arena in leadership positions with the International Paralympic Committee, International Olympic Committee, U.S. Paralympics, and the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation.
