Professional Experience

Laura Bonavita is a communities and local governments federal government relations professional. She enables local governments, educational institutions and other nonprofit entities to effectively advocate before Congress and a wide variety of federal departments and agencies. Laura assists in developing effective legislative, regulatory and funding strategies that will bring national attention and resources to her clients.

Laura ensures that her clients are prepared to advocate for the issues that affect their interests. She specializes in organizing and coordinating client activities in Washington, D.C., preparing education and advocacy materials for clients, conducting valuable research and preparing memorandums, briefing papers and other updates to track legislation, grant opportunities and other activities of interest.

Prior to joining B&D Consulting, Laura worked as a legislative assistant at a Washington, D.C. government relations firm. She also has experience working for a member of the New Jersey General Assembly and a member of the House of Commons in Great Britain.
