Professional Experience
Brent Lowder is a reimbursement specialist in B&D Consulting's Health and Life Sciences practice, with a focus on clinical trial reimbursement. He is a policy analyst and researcher, with significant experience with Medicare Parts A & B, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursement. Through financial case management involving frequent contact with stakeholders, he ensures reimbursement for investigational products.
He works extensively with sales representatives, medical directors, patients, physicians, and hospital administrators to facilitate access to emerging treatments and therapies. Brent assists his clients navigate complex payer infrastructures and other hurdles that often stand in the way of patient access to novel technologies.
Brent has extensive experience in pharmaceutical reimbursement, including high-cost pharmaceutical and biotech drugs. Before joining B&D Consulting, he was a program associate at Covance Health Economics and Outcomes Services in Gaithersburg, Md where he provided guidance and strategy for accessing alternative funding sources, including co-pay foundations, state-based benefits and industry-focused indigent care programs. He also worked for Nova Factor Biotech Pharmaceutical Services in Memphis, Tenn.
