Professional Experience

David Gogol is the founder of B&D Consulting's federal lobbying practice. He has more than 30 years experience in Washington, D.C.; in the Senate; and as a lobbyist. David's practice has been particularly focused on public and private nonprofit organizations with federal funding and regulatory issues. His expertise with local government, social service providers and colleges has allowed the firm to become a leader in serving those sectors. In addition, David developed the foremost amateur sports government relations practice in the nation, serving event organizing committees, sports development organizations and all elements of the Olympic sports world.

During his tenure on Capitol Hill, David served as Legislative Assistant and later as Director to Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) where he played a key role in legislation such as the New York City Recovery Act, the Chrysler Loan Guarantee Act and other legislation of national importance. David also served as the Assistant to the Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Housing and Urban Development where he played a leadership role in legislation of importance to urban America, including the Community Development Block Grant program, FHA and the nation's surface transportation programs.
