Listed below are a few examples of the housing projects we have worked on:
- For one major city, B&D Consulting helped secure a $5 million grant from HUD to help fund a project that created an innovative home renovation and homeownership program in a blighted, largely abandoned neighborhood. The award-winning project has strengthened and improved the neighborhood and helped more than 400 families become homeowners.
- Through the 1990s, two Section 8 projects had become centers of crime and drug trade. The two properties had more police calls than any other properties in the area. B&D Consulting worked with HUD to have the absentee owner disbarred from the Section 8 program and to have the building transferred to the city for redevelopment on a non-cost basis. Today, the properties are successful rental communities that help anchor the north side of a thriving downtown.
